Joint
Conference
2025

The joint session of the five Annual Conferences of the United Methodist Church in Nigeria (UMCN), with the Mission Districts of Senegal and Cameroon, held in Jalingo, Taraba State, drew over 7,000 clergy and laity and marked the historic reunification of UMC Nigeria with the Southern Conference after 14 years. The opening worship, led by Bishop Ande Emmanuel, emphasized faith, unity, and divine guidance amid global challenges.

The conference was attended by West Africa bishops, including Bishop Samuel Jerome Quire of Liberia and Bishop James Boye-Caulker of Sierra Leone. Preaching on the theme “Behold, I’m Doing a New Thing,” Bishop Boye-Caulker encouraged the church to embrace God’s unfolding plans and a renewed future.
