UMC bishops assign team to supervise Nigeria Episcopal Area

 In consultation with the West Africa College of Bishops and the chair of the West Africa Committee on Episcopacy, the UMC bishops approved the assignment of Bishop John Schol, Bishop Eben Nhiwatiwa and Bishop Patrick Streiff as the interim episcopal team to serve the Nigeria Episcopal Area through December 2024. Bishop Schol will serve as the lead bishop, and Bishop Nhiwatiwa will join Bishop Schol when he travels to Nigeria.

United Methodists in Nigeria distribute 50 tricycles

A partnership between the United Methodist Southern Nigeria Conference and the Beautiful Gate Handicap Center recently improved the lives of people with mobility issues.

Fifty tricycles were donated through the conference’s ministries with the disabled.

Without the bikes, people who cannot use their legs get around by dragging themselves on the ground or crawling on their knees. The tricycles allow riders to put their hands on the pedals to move the wheels.
